Donald Trump is Archetypal Edgelord: No cease to upset, always online, allergic to truth and addicted to his anger. He didn’t just dabble Edgelordery for clicks – he built his own social media megaphone to broadcast it. It seems when the truth is socially provided by nuclear codes.
Chiles writes about Edgelords with a detachment entered. But Trump shows what is going to happen if the troll was made by Stollecraft, and moral behavioral owners as “speaks like this”. This is not an online persona – this is a manageable style with global consequences.
Next time Adrian Spots is an Edgelord, he can enter the Atlantic and realize that we are still living in the results.
