Familiar PisOr most of the last century, life expectancy often increases. In most countries of the world, children can expect to live, generally, higher, healthier life than their parents. This expectation is still true to mega-rich. In fact, Tech billionaires and the multimillaiderson recently made fixed in search The secret of long life, convinced enough money, technology and scientific cut, they can prevent unavoidable years to reach 120 or even 150 years old.
But their efforts did not give up on us. The world in the world in the world is getting worse, in expectation of life Go back to back In many high-earned countries, such as UK and US. In Britain, stagnation began before Covid pandemic and reduced for six months, and in the US in 2.33 years. Excessive fat rates rise – not only in rich nations, but also in places like Ghana, who have experienced a 650% increase in obesity Since 1980. No 65%; 650%. The clean air is a strange in most places in the world. The state of mental health is like depression to climbworsening the financial and tension prime.
We are told in decades that when we are optimizing ourselves, we can live longer, healthier life. So how can we explain the gap between our growing knowledge about living longer and our collective health to go? In person, I set myself a great ambitious goal: To live with 100 with good health and to help others do so. According to By the effect of life’s impactI have 9.3% chance to make this long (though more likely to be challenging is that there is a quality life at this time).
As someone with a strong interest in and love for health, I followed the newest research of superfoods and what to eat. I have tried no sugar foods; I went to Vegan for a time. I have tried all types of different exercise regimes from running distances to intervals of Hiitity Interval Training intervals) in HyroxOutside Bootcamps, Spin, Hot Pilates, Barre and PDurage Yoga. Among me in between 30s, I decided to become a personal trainer to unite my interest in fitness, nutrition and nutrition well.
However, every time my thoughts go down to the “Optimization” route, I reminded my primary work and public health career, which recalls the reasons that affects how long we have affected. Most of these are disobedient individuals and has to do with the country and community we live. The fact is, this “self-help” does not reflect the reality of how health works. In fact, focusing on personal responsibility and self-evaluation escapes us from the true issue – the impact of public policy, infrastructure and community that affects our health and long life.
In public health, research projects study places where people need higher, healthier life – think of Japan or South Korea, or within Europe, Zurich, Madrid or Sardinica. In these areas, diseases of severe diseases such as heart disease and obesity are more common. Remove Japanwith 80% of less breasts and prostate cancer than North American and half risk of hip fractures.
Many work has been analyzed by the behaviors of people living within cities and regions. On the basis of this, we get lists of changes we can at an individual level to live longer, going to a generalized foodless meal and one day a night. These are the courses that can help, but I doubt that almost none of the places are more read in a self-help book or have a daily health “to do”.
The reason for these places is that people who live there simply do choices that individuals causing better health – they live in places where the government is normalized by government and culture.
Take the issue with obesity: UK is not fat than Japan because it is a country full of different people who choose to be overwhelming, but such kind of reasoning is not only weight loss. In fact it is like the choice level, the UK is more interested in dieting, with food industry estimated To be a sum of £ 2bn per year and dietary books selling millions of copies each year. On the contrary, the Japanese food industry is small, worth $ 42.8m. The main difference is true around food – including cheap fruit and vegetable, nutritious food and support from the government to remain within a healthy living in Japan. The odds are set against you in Britain.
You can be healthy “outlier” or bubble yourself from the larger social challenges when you have wealth, time and resources. You can carry an air purifier, drink a matcha latte, swimming in expensive entertainment centers, even hiring a chef to wear you fresh bread and prepare nutritious food. There is a reason that being king or marrying royalty is a reliable ways of living a long and healthy life. But for us common, no full choice of social societies: we should get out of the air breathing and drink foods available to where we live or at school.
As I talked to my new book, if I could live 100, I need more than counting my calories and posting pictures of my own workouts). I have to live in a world where health is a collective responsibility, not a person. This means supporting policies that make us healthier – and politicians who are primarily in conditions for good health such as medical foods, which need to heal children with citizens. There are lessons how to improve life with all these places around the world: These are places where good health is built in everyday life.
If we think of Ponce de León’s Search the immortality At 16IK Centuries – In a time when the life expectancy of his native Spain is about 25 in 30 years, the lesson is not a strong government, public service, science and community service. Tech billionaires can notice.
