I was shocked, knowing what similar window-shopping pieces of designer jewelry feels surprised by the galaxies in our universe. Both require distance, for example. To find galaxies, you need to stand in the world and watch a telescope or download images on a city road in a shop window in a thick glass. But these experiences share another layer as well as: they are likely to stimulate an appreciation of you for something you don’t touch.
In the American Museum of Natural History in New York, I am glad to have experienced at the same time.
Van Clefer and Arpels, a luxury French jewelry company, stands wonders in our universe of man-made work with new “Exhibit of Cosmic Asslendor “ In the American Museum of Natural History. Suitably placed by the Allison of the Museum and Roberto Migsone Halls of Gems and minerals, visitors can climb a cloudy, twinkly room to see the extraordinaries, earrings glitter in the jewels from the gems WORLDmade to represent the beauty of the worlds more than our home planet.
Walking into the exhibit, I was in a dark room full of small lights meant by the stars in the sky. The mirrors across the room are added to a mirror, strong effect – a nod of the expanding universe, perhaps? Immediately I am included in Ethereal, music infored in space: The tracks including “space in David’s space,” I fly to the Moon “and sea versions” (Sea versions “
Jewelery pieces made by van cleef and arpels are stored in different shows showing different elements in our universe. For example a case in the moon, filled with things like the brochure and pendant dedicated to the only person in the world to the universe; Other cases treated by lovers planets in the solar system, Galaxies Outside Milky Way and our own star, the DAY. Everyone withholding the glitter, striking pieces of jewelry made from rocks and minerals. There is at least one show in the zodiac, involving 12 constellations. This is a reminder of how many people put the meaning of how the sun is in line with their birth.
One of my favorite exhibit pieces is the assre component from the les of les extraorairs high jewelry collection. Shimmering, like a piece of snake mixed with bands of diamonds and sapphire alcade. The center Gem is a big opal, shining and bright, like our day.
I’m also a big fan of double galaxy clips in Saphir. Rubies and diamonds make for a beautiful swirl jewel “like stars in a spiral galaxy,” as described in the museum Exhibit page. The design of each clip is the same as unique, with a clip in a mauve sapphire and the other hits a pink zapphir.
Van Cleef and Arpels are known for “cannot be reached“Use nature as inspiration for its jewelry, which includes many flower and animal themes, as well as some astronomy-to pieces like this Planetarium watches. The exploration of life in the world and forefinger is a major focus of the museum. There in the hall from Cosmic Spalldor Display, visitors can look briefly Worlds in front of the world filmwhich plotes perfect conditions in the world for life compared to its planet’s neighbors. There is also a Passport to the universe Space Show, Tom Hanks and Screening told until June 5, who took over the viewers through a black hole and other wonderful aspects of our universe.
