The past three months is a busy time for teaching school superintendents in Lake County.
Madison, Perry and Wickliffe School Boards are all named New District Superintendents in a strating spanning from March 11 to April 2.
In May, a decision was made about the next Superintendent for the Auburn Career Center. School at School at Center Selected Joe Glavan To fill that position, reported by Chad’s News – Herald’s Chad Felton.
Glavan becomes a primary school leader in Aug 1. He successfully Brian Bontemplo, retiring July 31.
According to Auburn, Glavan, 42, brought a “strong career education, a student philosophical philosophy and a proven leadership record.”
Her wide experience includes roles such as the director of workforce workers and the Director Comming College, a regional consortium serving in the teacher, school districts.
In these positions, Glavan is primarily initiatives “enhanced workman’s willingness, reinforced business education and business.”
In addition to his education job, Glavan brought a decade of private sector, which was set to the gap between education and industry.
Through his leadership and strategic cooperation with businesses, government agencies and schools, he has expanded CTE opportunities and helped build a stronger, more responsive workplace for regional pipes.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Glavan in the Career Career Center family,” as Auburn School Board board Roger Miller. “His interest in career-tech education and his thinking is precious as we continue to grow and change in order to meet our students and the direction of the region.”
Glavan got a doctor from the state of Youngstown, a Master’s degree from Lake Erie College and a Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.
He also finished his principal licensure at Cleveland State University.
At 2023, Glavan was Honored as the Ohio Career-Technical Education Administrator of the year by Ohio Association for Technical Career Education.
It is recognized for his “style of leadership and strategic views,” Glavan says he causes to be dedicated to students for success in higher education and workers.
“The Auburn Career Center and our 10 dedicated member districts represent more than 19,000 students throughout the Lake and Geagiga experiences that ensuring the future student,” he said. “From Primary and second students to students’ work, our mission is to prepare the next generation of Ohio talent, skills and opportunities and opportunities to develop.”
He added that Auburn is one of 49 technical centers.
“I’m really interesting, so that it can be expanded,” Glavan said he was eager and honored to accept the superintendent position.
“I know many of the people in Auburn, and we work together in the last few years and are looking forward to working closely to our families, students and community staff to make sure they are informed and supported by each step on their journey,” he added. “The future of worker education in the northeastern Ohio is bright, and it starts here.”
Based on Glavan’s strong and relevant experience and his striking credentials, news-Herald believes that he is a very good choice to get the new Superintendent on Auburn Career Career.
