You are right to continue to focus attention on the need for prolonged BBC World service support (Editorial, 23 May). This is an important medium for real reporting since 1930s.
I joined in 1967 as yet in the Bob Gregson rapable editor. Shortly thereafter, turned into a 24-hour service, and in years it followed it became a large international service.
The reputation of the news and current programs and independent editorial principles are not at all, and the world is offered best in British culture. Foreign Office funded it.
More than recent years, I see this shrinking output types, however the importance and reputation of news and current activities remain strong in the past. In rising misinformation and disinformation, especially in times of international conflict, it remained a beacon of truth.
the BBC’s World ServiceAnd not only the English language service, is not allowed to stay away from a signed voice – or worse, nothing. The fund should be found from one place. Britain’s international reputation can be poorer without it.
