In the editor: LA is no stranger to overheat (“As of the la spit, the duration of waves are accelerated faster than climate change, shown in UCLA study,” July 10). A simple task, such as taking groceries, suddenly becomes more dangerous in hot weather.
This summer, I walked downtown. Here, I met a woman named Maria, waiting for the bus stop. He described several times he saw others faint because of heat.
The black pavement is one of the leading contributors to withdraw heat. Can be paved Up to 60 degrees warmer than the surrounding air.
Our state previously experimented with coating streets with mirror surfaces. However, we should try a simple solution: trees.
Studies are shown Those communities with lots of trees see a cool. Trees give important shades that reduce adjacent temperatures.
Let us work together and plant many trees to make La life a little more pleasant and hospitable.

In the editor: Clearly our planet is warmer. High-temperature records break around the world. This UCLA report indicates that heat is not only increasing, but it lasts longer. The disturbing me in this report is a researcher’s instruction that the correct answer is to adapt it. Facilitate the planning of adaptation, we are told, and plant more shadow of trees, different design designs, go outside of the day. Trash.
Instead of being adapted only, we must change the conditions that make the heat. Every story is about our world warmly should remind readers why it’s getting hot. It’s simple. We set, and continues to place, much carbon in the atmosphere. The logical response is to stop doing it, to start ripening coal, oil and gas, and distribution as possible, clean, clean strength.
