In Gaza, we know why Israel wants to follow us all in a camp – our life bargaining chips | Caution Aisha

After 21 months of war, the Israeli Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, suggests a new initiative to force all Palestinians in Gaza In a ruhah ruins camp.

I live in the west of Gaza City, only five minutes away from the beach. I see the waves from the roof of our house. The area is unique, with luxury architecture, hotels and tourist resorts.

Since the war began, I moved among the north, west and eastern places in town. We could not live somewhere because the invasion of Israel’s land continued to move from one place to another. Later, the army of Israel named these areas of “North Gaza” as part of the apartheid policy, dividing Gaza to the north and south.

I remember the beginning of conflict when the planes fell into the evacuation leaves saying: “Now you have to go south of the valley. You are in a dangerous combat zone.” My father and my brothers told me that these leaflets were nothing but a plan to move. South is not safe, and we must stay in northern Gaza.

Before 7 October, we can move freely from north to south without restrictions. This is one of the features that distinguishes Gaza from West Bank. However, if many people reject Israel’s orders at the beginning of the war, the IDF established a checkpoint between north and south. Israel said that whoso sought food should travel south of Gaza and will never return north. In fact, it implemented a hunger policy as a transfer way. People who can’t stand by starvation, but our decision does not submit.

I remember being poisoned last year Ramadan. Nothing in markets except grasses, while the south is filled with things. We died for hunger and tired as we moved from one place to another.

South relatives have spoken to us safely. But then, Israel invaded Rafah and destroyed it, killing many. After this, the runners became full of center of Gaza on roads, living in tents covered. They did not return north across the Netzarim checkpoint. A young man, Omar Meroof, only 22, decided to return to the northern Gaza across the checkpoint. We don’t know what happened to him. Did he die?

Then help is cut. Up the territory we pumped and hungry, Sometimes shot while giving up For what little food is allowed. According to Katz, Rafah becomes a “human city”, but no one in Gaza can believe this claim.

I asked my grandfather, who, was four, Nakba transfer witnessed in 1948about the purpose of Katz’s plan. “Is this plan a jail inside the prison?” I asked. “There’s no point to go there,” he replied. “We’re in a prison with closed doors.” There is to die every corner of Gaza as long as it is occupied.

Neighbors in Arab countries have denied us a refuge, especially Egypt. Now, it only accepts people from Gaza as patients and refuse to give them residency.

Gaza people believe that the plan is no more than one’s pressure tactic against Hamas, hoping it will give up on Israel from Looks like axis – a “Security corridor” between Rafah and Khan Yoenis.

Gaza people await another stop conflict with empty stomachs. Young people stopped killing for help, hoping that a truce is near and that their lives should not risk. This truce, even if it is in 60 days, is the only time we can breathe. I don’t know what happens when these negotiations fail. This ceasefire is our last hope of living peacefully, even if in a short time.
