Hi again, friends! I am very happy to catch up. This past week, we returned after two weeks of visits Cornwall Family, Englandand to see the Italian friends (more soon). Here are some pictures, if you want to see …
Traveling from Brooklyn to Cornwall doesn’t have a joke: You take a night flying London, hiring a car, then driving five hours in the southwest my aunt’s house.
But after all expectations, the entry of his village feels happy – you drive miles to the lanes of countries, then shattered the harbor. This is looking!
Lulu always welcomes us to drinks, snacks, and many smiles.
We took a poisonous eye but happy picture of our first night.
Anton again united with his long lost cousin JimmyWho is his English Doppelgänger. They were like small soulmmates, leaping water, eating salt-and-vinegar chips, and go to harm. (Here’s the a picture of them from six years ago.)
Very brave!
And Toby finally catches the height of his age of cousin to be busin Bo. (Here’s the a sweet slideshow them for many years.)
On the upper wall, children, children, and children slowly flow, but teenagers begin to shoot four inches each year. My sister’s last husband, PaulOnce also marked his morning and evening height to prove that people were shorter during the day.
Meanwhile, the dog of Lulu, Jane, as strange to be out of reach.
In those days it didn’t rain (this is England, after all), we’ll take a little boat to the sea, where you see jellyfish when you look at the side.
The boys swim from rocks to the boat.
And my father is pusodaw Ignored when I told him that the boat shoes actually cool today!
If it is DOING Rain, we hit the beach, as one did, haha.
Promises are the sort of smash-and-grab …
… or we get the fish and chips and mushy pea in the pub.
We also play a lot of fish. (What other card games do you want? Forever seeking recs.)
One afternoon, Julia Bird – at Sheeaweed Art Fame – stopped at Lulu’s house, because he lived in the same city. I am very happy to meet him! How sweet is this reference to this discussion?
it Julia’s beautiful store. (I bring a little print for Freddie.)
In the evening, we sat outside and chat …
And look at the boats.
One night – because the sky doesn’t darken until 10 pm – I’m laying in bed, looking at the water, and thinking Some times We came to Cornwall, since then I have seven. Missing some summer here and there – if money is tight, or When I have kidsor during quarantine – but in general these annual visits feel a heartbeat in our lives. We moved to many environments when we grew up, but My grandparents with my grandparents always available, every year, it’s just like. While writing this post, I wonder how much new reports, but then I know, that’s the point. These are all cousins and wet suits and fishing lines and a half an avocado in the refrigerator.
Just catching a stomach bug past the group – or, as Toby calls it, “the pain.” earnings almost escaped unscathed, until we returned to London and I got it from my brother. But every adventure has How many sets areisn’t it? That’s what makes this family vacation.
Thank you so much for reading. We love you, Cornwall! ITALY recap coming soon … xoxoxo
