It is unlikely to have several 50th anniversary celebrations of Steven Spielberg’s monster hit “jaws.”
But a documentary with Spielberg on camera is National Geographic’s “Jaws @ 50: The definitive story inside” flowing Friday in Hulu and Disney +.
“There are many documentaries, books and all, there is a sense that we need to restore the story a little,” says Direnttor, Bouzereau said in a zoom interview. “I decided to focus on the experience of the person who made ‘jaws.’ “
The person’s reason is easy to see what makes “jaws” special – what makes “jaws” “apart” if you want.
Who knows eight roles played by professional actors? All others are locally recruited for filming.
“I was surprised,” Allowed Bouzereau, adding that when he arrived at the vineyard of Martha, the title of the island for production, “the effect that was in the community and continued almost unreliable.
“They still talk about it – Grandparents, their children and their grandchildren. They are all influenced in a way of arresting. Because of the arrest.
Because “jaws” is the first primary turning of Hollywood in real water film, those locals are important in its authenticity.
“If the film was made by Alfred Hitchcock 10 years ago,” Bouzereau counted, “This is another movie to make in the back projection and a studio cension.
“But of course Steven wants to make a hitchcock movie – but actually on the beach or in water. Hitchcock is not yet arrested at the beach.”
For Spielberg, the “jaws” became testing by fire. As the budget increases a million and filming uninterrupted, problems became national news.
The rumors spreading Spielberg fired, replaced.
We found at the most shocking Doc revelation, Spielberg talks about PTSD he suffered, months after the film reached blockbuster status.
He talked about waking up in the middle of the night, shaking and crying. He was maintained.
“I had to say that though I was known as Steven for over 30 years,” says Bouzereau, “I completely affirm, what are you asking for?
“For Steven talking about that experience I thought it was very brave. That reminds me of his humanity and his weakness to tell the story of the ‘jaws.’ “
As Spielberg plants it, “This is the movie I think I’m going to finish my career, and it’s going to give me my career.”
