UAE has given more than one billion food to people who need as part of a major humanitarian project.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced successfully after Humanitarian project launched in Ramadan 2022 to provide a billion food to those in need of the world.
Sheikh Mohammed said: “Three years ago we launched a humanitarian project addressed to those who needed the entire month, distributing a billion meals in 65 countries.
UAE 1 billion food project
“An additional 260 million foods will be distributed by the end of the year. We also establish lasting real estate endates to ensure continued provision of years to come.
“We thank God for the ability to give, for the opportunity to fulfill our promise, and for the blessing of this good nation, whose kindness touches the world.
“May God protect the UAE and their people, and may they always be a symbol of good and generosity.”
The 1 billion meals of food built on success over the past 10 million foods and 100 million food campaigns launched by 2020 and 2021, in fact.
As the largest initiative of its class-food assistance, 1 billion meal meal refers to support nutrition to people who are infinite with no discrimination communities.
To ensure its long-term effects and the continual distribution of the rest of the world, 1 billion ENDOWMENT initiative is launched in 2023 as the largest lasting fund to help food.

Al Gergawi emphasized important role of partners, including UN and regional agencies and local organizations by the end of July 2025, with plans to reach total 1.26 billion foods at the end of 2026.
Al Gergawi said: “We remain commitment to strengthen our strategic companionship locally, in the region and destroy the need for food challenges.
“The MBRGI commitment to eliminate hunger is more than giving foods; it includes powers that empower communities to develop poverty and malnutrition.
“It shares with MBRGI vision for lasting progress and actively chased by a wide range of UN and regional and local companion agencies.”
1 billion initiative foods associate with UN organizations through two main paths:
- Direct food assistance by distributing food parcels, food, supplement, smart vouchers, etc.
- Durable projects give power to individuals and families to be self-sufficient. These include those who give the powers of farmers and creates food production jobs and other related sectors
