Dynamics of evolutionary Chromosomal Changes in the genus Cyphophthalmus (Arachnida: Opilion) on Balkan Peninsula

Abstract

We checked the genus Cyphphophalmus within the suborder Cyphophthalmi (Arachnida: opiliones), focusing on the cytogenetic evolution of the Balkan Peninsula. Our comprehensive analysis of 21 species reveals a famous range of Mother’s numbers using fluorescent in situ hybridization (fish) with 18s rdna prophetic (up to five pairs). This study combines the consequences of reconstruction of the phylogenetic based on the analysis of mitochrome cytochrome cymatices, with its first class of research. Knowing reveals higher levels of biodiversity on the Balkan Peninsula than previously recognized, suggesting the complex variation of genus Cyphophthalmus. In addition, our results emphasize the effectiveness of cytogeetics as a tool for evolutionary history undertaken by the unique genetic and environmental history of the Balkan Peninsula’s history.
