A question that helps for the discussion during our increasingly divided weather can: “What does an American” mean? Did the lyrics mean by the Greenwood song “I am proud to be an American where I know at least I’m free”? That’s not fully answered the question: What is an American and more, what is America?
School students study such things before American history is also written in many public schools and universities to fit a progressive account. They knew that the country was named for the Italian explorer that America Vespucci, whose claims of fame was to discover that the land he explored, the new world, but a separate continent. German Carwart Martin Waldseemuller Vespucci’s first name is used, whose Latin version is “America,” to open the incoming United States on a map he or she is referred to in 1507. The name “America” is accepted. Now we may have a competitive name.
That still not answered the question of what America and who are Americans? Frank Sinatra gave his response to a song titled “The house I live in.” In the running of this singing, Sinatra’s account includes: “In America everyone who has happened to me, will happen to someone like me.
That is about to answer questions. America is a land opportunity for people to see it and seize it. If you can’t do it here, you can’t do anything else. America is also about overcoming obstacles. Their stories used to encourage people with a bad start of life before we accept the wrong idea that we have the right to what owner and don’t have to work for it.
America is an idea of continuing searching for the ideal. If we fail following the declaration and our principles of the Constitution, we will not stop. We try to make things right because we have a pattern – a foundation – which describes what is right. “We keep these facts in self-evident.” Such facts (“Our Creator has given some unspeakable rights”) helped us overcome the evil plaguity and refusal of civil rights and civil rights from the enslaved. Freedom is not “another word that no one left to lose,” as Janis Joplin Mianto. But freedom comes responsibility, including expectations that it can be changed to each successful generation.
