Police bulbs in ‘armed’ teen …
After the shots fired incident
Contamination
Police shot and injured a suspected teen focusing on an Ohio community pool – and the violence was covered with video.
Columbus PD has released the body footage this week showing the rare police killing in Lincoln Park Pool and Barack Community Center.
As you saw, the incident began an officer who answers the guns he heard while patrolling the pool area.
He first told adults and children in the pool to take and then explore to investigate the shooting, while he called it on the radio.
Cut to another police officer to a bicycle in the parking center in the center of the community near the pool – and he saw three teenagers described by a witness involved in shots fired incidents.
The officer screamed “hands” to teenagers as he jumped his bike and pulled his weapon service.
Another copy arrives, which prompts one of the teens who turn away. That officer chasing him while the other policeman told the remaining teens to go to the ground.
One of the remaining teens follows … but some walk around a jeep and go around the officer.
That’s when all hell breaks … and the copy shuts off three shots, beat the teen’s foot and arm. Police found a gun under the jeep and arrested the injured 16-year-old to bring a secret weapon, tampering evidence and disruption to the official business.
The police also arrested 15-year-old boy who fled in the parking lot, recovering a stolen weapon he tried to go away from the pool.
The boy was charged with carrying a secret weapon, received stolen properties, flowing evidence and obstructed the official business. The third suspect following police orders was not arrested or charged.
Officials from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have launched a police shooting review.
