From gathering intelligence using internet navigation, satellites are used daily throughout the world. However their activity causes serious issues.
What is it?
In February, a team of researchers from Western University in Canada, in collaboration with the research organization and development of Canada, trying to activate the activity of Satellite orbit across the postage.
Using 14 cameras at low cost, researchers have made track of satellites passing over the night of February 22, 2025, which takes care of the whole night’s activity. Each step in the white of the image shows the satellite path in the sky. Their system is inspired by Track Meteorwith cameras taught different angles to get the whole night sky.

Why is it awesome?
This novel’s satellite system allows researchers to produce first whole year of tracking satellite data in Canada, According to Western University. The system is currently deployed on four sites across Canada to monitor satellite activity including: Eureka, Osoyoos, British Columbia, Saskatchewan.
With 14-camera setup, researchers can track things in the sky over 11.8 inches (30 cm) size. So far, the system was found 17,000 unique satellites and cited about half-billion observations, according to the press release.
While the system provides a more detailed way to monitor satellite activity, it also reveals how perfect our sky is. Not only satellites chemically polluting our surroundings of heavy metalBut they become a growing issue for Astronomers try to see our universe. In many launches planned to add new satellites, the question in question is: When will the sky be filled?
