Two new species of Spider Gen Songtheela (Mesothelae, Liphistiidae) from Province in Hunan, China

Two new species of primitively distinct genus spider Songthela Onoo, 2000, collected from the province of Hunan, China, described based on the specimens of the sexes: S. grunt Fountain. noVeMber (♂♀), and S. Lixi Fountain. noVeMber (♂♀). Songthela grunt Fountain. noVeMber assigned to bitpina-group, while S. Lixi Fountain. noVeMber belong to Unispina-Group, based on male palps and female genitalia. We also provide mitochondrial cytochrome c Oxidase subunit i (Coi) Sequences for identifying spies Songthela species. These molecular data explains different genetic genety between two new species and their congeners, facilitate future species. This study does not only extend known to be differential in SongthelaBut also contributed to a growing framework for understanding biogeographic standards and evolutionary evolutionary processes.
