A Review of the Relationships of Australian Funnel-Web Spiders With A New Species Of Funnel-Web Spider From Far North-Eastern Tasmania (Hexathelidae: Atracinae: Araneae)
Abstract
A new species of funnel-web spiders, Hasyyche Simonfearni, described from Far North-Eastern Tasmania. Examined family status. Disadvantages including misconceptions and losses of molecular analysis techniques in ATRACIDAE as Actinopodidae Sister Group recognized and proposed solutions. The use of unspecified Venom data in Atracidae to suggest relationship is rejected. Macrothelidae diagnoses and Porthhothelidae, as well as atracidae rejected as non-diagnosis. They are the closest relatives of each other, as shown in repeated morphological analysis, with additional doubt rejected by limited molecular analysis of miseredications. The atracinae was replaced by Hexatherelidae and Macrotheldae and Porthhothelidae placed in Macrothelinee, also in Hexatherelidae. The new genera and a subgenus suggested by Hoser (2017) rejected.
