Your articles present two entertaining but very different ways to unite yourself for a music festival (‘A discord at 5am’, 12 June;; Love Love, June 13). One is all the boots and head torches, some other beautiful clothes and earrings. How appropriate, on this year anniversary of Jane Austen, to see the different needs of meaning and sensitive clearly intended.

• Piras in Adria Chile (Who can deny a warm, tired bearing of bringing fruit from their cherry tree?, 12 June) I reminded me of a tree we had ahead of our garden garden. When a noble red fruits are ripe, we always see someone who takes a handful, just for them to spit for a while. They are crab apples.
