Delhi-NCR graph steps as AQI fell in 140

As the quality of the air index (AQI) in Delhi is recorded at 140 on Sunday, the Commission for the Air Quality Plan (NCR) in the National Capital Region (NCR) with an immediate effect.

It comes as National Capital Records an AQI in 140, still regarded as “bad for sensitive groups” but escaped the “poor” category.

The sub-committee of the graph, at its meeting today, increased by the quality of the regional air situation, as well as forecasts in India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Air Quality Index in Delhi.

“AQI in Delhi has also shown progress because of favorable meteorological conditions and the AQI in Delhi recorded 140 for June 15, 2025, (in ‘moderate’ category).

In addition, IMD / IITM forecast also predicts AQI primarily to remain in the ‘moderate’ category in the coming days, “the command issued by CAQM read.

Accordingly, the sub-committee decides to eliminate its order, which encourages actions under the stage-i (‘poor air quality) in existing air graphs across the NCR.
