IOS 26 gets new emojis, but don’t expect them to see them immediately

Apple UI UI refresh, iOS 26almost here. To mark new past World Emoji Day on July 16Unicode Consortium approved a fresh emojis set for update.

For context, Unicode Consortium is a nonprofit that prevents unicode pattern, a universal character encoding system and emoji that often believes in all platforms and devices. In other words, it is not an apple or Google who decides that Emoji made the cut, but the consortium itself. At this time, eight new emoji is selected for Unicode 17.0.

New additions are:

Defective speed speed

  • Apple Core

  • Dancy Dancers

  • Triggered face

  • Clash

  • Feather creature

  • Orca

  • Trombone

  • Chest of wealth

Before you are so eager, it may not be seen in the initial rollout of iOS 26. Apple usually designs its own versions of new emojis, and those designs generally come to some line updates. For example, Unicode 16.0 Ended September 10, 2024 – one week before iOS is launched. But that semoji set does not show iPhones to Exit iOS 18.4 in March this year.
