Meta calls AI code overreach, it will not sign

Meta Platforms say it does not sign the practice code for the new set of European laws in charge artificial intelligenceCall instructions to help companies follow the Ai Act overreach.

“Europe is on the wrong path to AI,” the Head of the Global Affairs Joel Kaplan said in a LinkedIn Post. “This code indicates many unsecured by unsure for developer models, as well as steps more than AI Act.”

The European Union was published in the practice code earlier this month. This is a voluntary framework to help companies put processes to stay bloc’s progress line for copyors and transparency for advanced AI models. It also requires developers to give documentation to describe parts of AI models. Code approval can give companies more legal protection when they are accused of falling evil in the work.
This is the most recent flashpoint between US tech companies and European regulators who seek to change their market power. The US administration Donald Trump, who cried out with Tech Regulations Blocs and unfair targets of US companies in April, before it was completed.

Many European companies including ASML Holding, Airbus Se and Mistral Ai also requested the European Commissionto to implement AI AI.
