Lisa Nandy describes BBC failures “disaster” (Tim Davie admits ‘important failure’ on BBC in documentary in Gaza, 14 July), although I know he doesn’t conflict with the accuracy of Gaza content: How to endure a Warzone. What adjective did he apply to the death of thousands of innocent Palestinians, many of the children?

What are those who respond to George Monbiot (Letters, July 15) Failed to understand so it is not part if the “joke” target is right or left; This is about if there is power and privilege or not. The “jokes” described by the monbiot all refers to those who have lost some way; That makes them poisonous.

So two men who knocked a tree received prison sanctions four years and three months (Two men put ‘no intelligence’ falling on the wooden slice of sycamore jailed for more than four years, July 15). They cut a tree! When do we see any sentences for people responsible for the death of 72 people, including 18 children, in green?
