Spartan Middle East announced the launch of the first Spartan City Race, set on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Etihad Arena, Yas island, Abu Dhabi.
This unique event format marks a new chapter for the Spartan in the region, with the brand signature signs challenged by a rapid path, strong courses designed for speed, energy, and access.
The race has 15 fixed spartan obstacles and primarily occurs in the contents of the controlled climate state of Etihad side of Etihad, with a small part outside of the house.

Young athletes also have the opportunity to compete, with dedicated types of Spartan Kids. Distances are adapted for different age groups, including:
- 1km course for ages of four to six
- 1.5km course for the age of seven to nine
- 3km course for ages of nine to 14
All finishers walk with a Spartan T-shirt and medal.
The event is supported by Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), builds the growing paper in UAE as a global hub for Spartan events.
More than 5,500 people attended the recent Spartan Middle East East East in Arena, Bab Al ShamsAnd more than 6,000 visited the Inaugural Trifecta Weekend in Dubai Parks and Resort in January.
Set against Yas Bay’s backdrop, Iconic Etihad Arena provides a world class and practical stage for the event.
As the largest content of the east in the east, its state infrastructure and easy access guarantees a seamless racing day for competitors and spectators.
