Three things UK should do to make small boats in France’s work | Immigration and asylum

With the expected cross cross crossings in France, the government has a chance to strengthen the haughty history of the UK with people who need high, and to save lives (Starmer Hails ‘Grounds’ to face migrants small boats in France, 10 July). As the Prime Minister said, it fully provides a refuge to people in a greater need, and international collaboration is to solve global transfer problems. But for the pilot to succeed, the UK government should keep these three things in front of the mind.

First, the design should be open to all people who need protection – and the process should be quick and simple. This means a much more greater replacement of cross channels, so that no one falls into the hands of smugglers.

Second, people and kindness must be in the design center. We are worried that many people can be prevented by this process. We know the impact that living with control has the physical and mental health of people. Must have proper assessments to prevent people from having health conditions, trauma or other weaknesses from placing harmful environments. Tailored support, advice and information at all stages of new process can be important.

In the end, it is important that people with close family connections – including siblings – in the UK can access the plot. Families should be together. We learned from our decades that support refugees in the UK that associating with loved ones should build people to rebuild their lives and participation.

Behind every number crossing the channel is someone with hope and fear. They survive unimaginable suffering, and many lose their lives.
