Malaysia takes a larger role in helping the US prevent advanced AI chips from the end of China.
Malaysia’s investment ministry and industry announced new restrictions on the export of AI chips from the country on Monday. Individuals and companies are required to inform Malaysia authorities at least 30 days old when exporting or exporting US AI AI chips, effectively.
“Malaysia is stable against any attempt at the export controls or participation in bad trade activities to any individual action violations of 2010 or related laws,” the ministry wrote to a Press release.
The alleged chip smuggling in US AI chips in China come several times in recent months.
Anthropic admits that China has sophisticated chip-smuggling networks set in a blog post in April. The post is also admitted that smugglers go in extreme lengths to carry AI chips, including prosthetic baby bombs full of chips, and smugglers send gpuses beside live lobsters.
Anthropic’s Postal Post was written to in favor of the US imposes many AI export rules to prevent this type of smuggling. The restrictions are likely to come in the near future.
Last week, Bloomberg reported that the Trump administration plans to further the export of AI chips, from NVIDIA, to access these AI AI AI Chis in a different way of entering. The Trump administration has not yet created an official announcement about it.
The US Department of Commerce also works with one’s own set of exports in US AI export formal rescinding the rules of Biden administration in May.
