Dubai and Transport Authority roads (RTA) AED 633m ($ 172m) provides an upgrade contract with Al Massaqbal Street as part of the Ambani Movement to develop urban development, support the quality of Emirate’s life.
Al Mayoqbal Street Projects project from Za’abeel Palace Street on Street Street and includes new tunnels and bridges that have expanded four lanes in each direction.
Upgrading will increase 33 percentage capacity up to 8,800 vehicles per hour-and slash travel times from 6 minutes to 6.
Al mustaqbal street in Dubai Upgradees
Three tunnels (1.2km total)
- A three-lane tunnel to Debi (4,500 vehicles / time)
- A two-line bi-can-tin direction served between debel and Jebel Ali (3,000 vehicles / time)
- A single-lane tunnel for a central access (1,500 vehicles / time)
Building bridge
- A 450m, two-lane bridge from DWTC to Za’abeel Palace Street
- Five additional bridges (5km total) connecting SHEIKH ZAYED ROAD with other major roads
Expanding the road
- Al Mayoqbal Street expands 3.5km from three to four lanes per direction
Intersections and ramps
- Free flowing ramps in exhibition and roads center roads
- Level level of center center Roundabout level to improve the flow of Sheikh Zayed Road and 2nd December Street
Pedestrian and cycling upgrades
- Pedestrian bridge or over Al Sukook Street
- Dedicated cycling tracks and upgraded pathways
- The decorative light and city spaces for community use
The initiative can improve access to and from the main commercial and financial districts such as Dubai World Trade Center, Diff, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, and Zaabeoel. The RTA estimates the advances that benefit about 500,000 residents and guests.
Linked and equal projects
- Iude Metha and Al Asayel Streets Upgrade (continued): 4.3km of bridges, 14km on roads, serving more than 420,000 residents of 2030. Expected to cut time to travel 50 percent
- Al Khail Road Road (recently completed): 3.3km of new bridges and 6.8km to expand the road. Reduced travel times of 30 percent and added 19,600 cars / hour capacity

“Project will serve many important commercial zones, development zones, especially Dubai World Trade Center, which is the Premier Venue in the region for international events and exhibitions for more than four decades.
“It hosts basic spiritual shows such as Ganex, Arabic Travel Market, Arab Health, Gulfood, and the transportation performance, etc.
“The project also serves the Dubai International Financial Center (DIC) financial hub for Middle East, Africa, including Za’abeel, Downtown Dubai, and Business Bay.
“The project is expected to benefit nearly half a million residents and visitors”.
