Twenty years from 7/7 bombings, the Mayor of London fights for unity | 7 July Attacks in London

Pleased to read the spirituality of the unity shown by Ken Livingstone after 7/7 attacks (These words of the opposite unity follow the horror of 7/7 bombings. Think about what we hear today, 7 July). That feeling of accepting and unity about what london attracts me to the first place. I understand the failure of the so-called “London Bubble” or “Metropolitan Elite”, but this city remains a place where people from all backgrounds are to feel consumed and connected.

As I understood the point that Hugh Muir made in his piece, Livingstone’s message was still in our current Mayor. Sadiq Khan Continued to counteract London variation as a source of energy. You can’t travel at a stop under the bottom of getting a poster from the mayor’s office that expresses: “You’re happy”.

He remains a leading voice for doing what he believes is right, through unity messages or by pushing policies that may not be popular, such as Ulez, but eventually benefit most of the London. Sadiq has nothing to be perfect, but at a time when the labor labor is found to be crushed under the weak leadership of Keir Starmer

Thanks, Hugh Muir, for reminding me what was missing at the end of 20 years and it was important that we would do more than build and celebrate different communities. Let us show the motivation and interest of others and – if we cannot do that – let us at least show approval for our neighbor. Despair and submission cannot be optional options.
