Lacma deserves more credit than the places provided

In the editor: Let’s praise Michael Govan today, the Museum Director of Los Angeles County in Art.

Since the arrival in 2006, Govan monitors the renewal of 20-acre campus to an exciting and constantly developing the oasis in a city without a real center – so far. Recently, Lacma hosted a sneak seek with its new addition to the eye, David Geffen Gallery, over three beautiful days. After a difficult year, it is good to see thousands of Southern California residents to gather to celebrate this exciting new landmark.

But you can hardly know that such a special event occurred or in high-profile lacma in Govan’s leadership by following Art Christopher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight’s Scaropher Knight Knight’s Soct Cast“New Lacma is soft, splotchy, powerful, modified, monotonous, interesting and unreasonable,” June 27). Her articles were filled with a more than the most complete speech of Donald Trump.

Knight says that the cost of the building is worth $ 720 million but the sources tell him that “the full cost of the project is closer to $ 835 million.” This, I don’t doubt. Always try a kitchen remodel? Try to build a 347,500-square-square-square-square structure of an earthquake zone, between ancient alkar-filled fossils, in a pandemic.

“Unlimited concrete is monotonous,” Knight complains of new galleries. Aren’t white walls too monotonous until you hang out some art? She is worried about the museum undergoing a “long change from a civic art institution to a tourist destination.” Can’t it be possible?

I understand that the knight does not like the “non-hierarchical” design of a museum story. We all agree to disagree with things. I never thought it was necessary to make fun of Lacma in every article he wrote to make a point.

Finally, Knight wrote, “Will Geffen Gallery be successful? My crystal ball is broken, but I see no reason why it is not a popular attraction.” I also don’t have a crystal ball, but I can tell you Lacma a popular destination for many years and no doubt keeps going.
