I am very pleased to read the Georgina Moore account in search of peace and comfort his new living in a boat at home after a fun London life in London (One time changed me, 25 June). The article, however, runs the risk of suggesting that the “wild” of the gravity of the author, fully enjoyed his evenings, eating colleagues, not an acceptable good way of life.
For many men and women and women, with freedom to choose what to do in their time outside their working hours is an important aspect of their lives. Our work life has increased “that turned away” US, in real Marxian recognition, from what we can do “spirit life”, especially in our 20s and 30s. This applies especially to women, who spend a significant amount of their mid-careers juggling motherhood and domestic life, having recovered from childbirth and adjusting to their careers often with decreased earnings, depleted savings and lower levels of happiness.
This time is, for some, followed by responsibility to take care of older parents. The responsibilities of the mid-life plahi of the joys of an early life, some of them will be entertainment to friends and companions.
There is enough economic evidence that is healthy and social life status has a significant impact on the productivity at work. If anything, owners should be inspiring and supporting employees who have healthy and pleasant pastures outside of working hours, no matter how much they give up on gravity.
