Parents, not teachers, can beat child obesity | Top skulan

Once again, the main schools are expected to “fix” the problem of obesity affecting children (Most children can overweight or fat in nine places in England in 2035, study shows, 23 June). As a Primary and PE Specialist teacher, I know it’s mostly ineffective.

While half an hour or even 45 minutes of exercise a day as the answer, what observing three things, what they traveled to lunch, what would they do when they had to come to their home.

Many children are motivated by school and those who walk regularly stopped garbage stores on their way home. I see groups of students outside of the 4pm chippy and others walking home with frappuccino-type drink in their hand.

As for lunch boxes, always a collection of process snacks, crisps, fizzy drinks and biscuits. There is no fiber, no protein – at least one sight sandwich. And when the students arrive at home, it’s always straight to the game consoles for an hour. The concept of play outside is some of the children I have instructed.

The educational system is always on pressure to meet reading and writing, forming, behavior and social interaction. But excess fatality to children is not a school issue, it is a cultural challenge that only parents can solve and choices they make.
