I am a sanitation worker at Republic Services and a proud member of Teamsters Local 25. Now, 450 in my co-workers in Boston barbecue for a new contract. We were with hundreds of brothers in Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Indianais, and Washington, and Washington, who took part in their partners.
We ask for an agreement that pays us fair for our hard work – enough to live as skyrocket costs in place. Republic is trying to deny us in that respect. In negotiations, this multibillion-dollar corporation is dragging its feet and raises potential progress instead of bargain in good faith.
If they keep it, they can stop your garbage collection at about July 1 by pushing us to strike. And it is not wrong but the republic.
I work in this industry for many years, collecting trash from houses and businesses. I am able to raise three children as a single father in this job. For 16 years, I work in Peabody for JRM Hauling and Recycling, a small family-powered company that we cleanse our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean Communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our communities clean our cleansing communities.
In 2022, everyone has changed if the Republic services have purchased JRM. With garbage management, the republic is a Goliath. Together, both companies carry $ 38 billion last year, dominate garbage and recycling business in America.
Republic does not have a dominant industry player by treating workers fairly. I need to get used to that at first if it got jrm. Almost at night, my salary is broken between $ 600 and $ 800 a week. Many of my co-workers are lost.
It is not acceptable. But shortly after the Republic JRM was taken, we became teamsters. And as members of the Loud Union of North America, we have been with our fair share of the big income earned by the company.
Sanitation is one of the most dangerous professions there, and the damage is usually. Our jobs are strong and physically demanded. As a transfer station driver, I waste landfills and incinerators. I regularly walked to the wasted waste hip. Even in protection gear, I lay home after moving several times than I can count. We know how important our job is and we’ve got better wages, health care, and protection we have fought.
If Republic services are not studied in a fair contract in July 1, more than 400,000 people throughout 17 Massachusetts municipalities – Massic town-busts – see the Trash service. We don’t want to happen. But we don’t get rid of families, pay our fees, or a day of retirement unless things change for better.
If you know that your trash is not taken over the next month, remember – this is because Republic services turn around all over all of us.
We support Massachusetts for many years. We hope you support us.
