In the editor: So Vice President JD Vance visits LA to less than five hours to increase the city, California and its officials and attends a fundraiser (“The Vice President JD Vance Ripsom, Bass and Jokes Padilla to visit Los Angeles,” June 21). Doesn’t he stay in Washington to do most of that? He will rescue the taxpayer for a lot of money for air travel and service, in addition to the drivers disabilities caused by his brief visit.

In the editor: Obviously the most often forgotten on January 6, 2021, revolt. Or maybe his statements were remembered that day with names that changed. For example, take this part of one of his statements: “You have officers of the enforcement officers obtained and beaten by a violent mob, sent to Gavin Newsom and other officials.”
Back on January 6, the name Donald Trump fits that slot completely. And where is the National Guard?
