The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued during the Alert Weather Forasting during widespread heavy parts of the country between 22nd June 2025.
Many states are advised to remain on top of alert due to the possibility of severe weather conditions.
Northwest, Central, and West India
According to IMD, Northwest India, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Konkan-Goa region likely to experience severe rainfall from 22nd June. The forced places in Gujarat (22nd June) and Madhiya Pradesh (23rd-24th 22 June) can receive severe rain over 20 cm in 24 hours.
Similarly, at East Rajasthan Fainfall intensity is expected to be 23rd June, while other parts of Punjab, Uttar, Buyanachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand also handle heavy rain at the same time.
East and central Indian
West Madhya Pradesh is likely to be very affected by 23rd and 24 June, with rain over extreme paths. The states such as Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and parts of West Bengal continue to witness heavy rain until the end of June.
Northeast India
According to the weather department, the NorthHeastern States is expected to receive frequent heavy rains in the next seven days. Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur are more contaminated, with severe heavy rains predicted between 22nd and 24 June.
Southern Peninsula
Kerala, Karnataka, Beach Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Telangana also alerted for heavy rain and strong winds (up to 60 km) during the week, according to IMD. The forced heavy rain is likely across the regional and interior regions.
Heating, moisture warning
IMD also warned of warm and humid conditions of Tamil Nadu parts, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema between 22day and 24 June.
Authorities are advised in affected regions to prepare for possible flooding, traffic ruins, and infrastructure damage.
