As a retired civil servant, I read your article with interest (Civil service is ‘very early’ from people’s lives across the UK, says the minister, 14 June). I enjoy moving papers from London, but moving locations are not enough to change culture.
The civil servants from different communities. Most love public service. But the hierarchy means that only those who can do and are willing to play through unsubscribed rules (White-made male) can climb up the stairs) can climb the ladder) can climb the ladder to focus on more than what is pleasing to senior leaders than what benefits to the community, which is pleasing to senior leaders than what can be pleasing to senior communities; And civil service always values grade and seniority of knowledge, experience and skill.
In order to provide the best public service that civil service should ponder, at all levels, communities serve. Currently it is not, and variation decreases with seniority. “Back-Office Function” of experienced equality, differentiation and participation (EDI) specialists are important: to know obstacles; To ensure an environment that works where everyone can improve; and rewrite hidden rules so they work for everyone. Senior leaders (including ministers) have to appreciate the experience and skills of specialists in more junior marks.
In 2008 I was associated with Curprow Prosecution Service As an equality, differentiation and manager of community arguing. As well as issues of EDI, my role involved in local communities to understand their needs and strengthening trust in the criminal justice system. Joining communities progresses the service provided and urged those who came to the underlying groups to consider participating in the civil service.
In this country, we often target EDI. Those who promote the leaving “dei” betrayed their Slavish Trump parable.
