Re your report (A £ 2.5m DUD? Fresh Doubt is dropped by National Gallery Rubens, 15 June), I want to get the attention of readers new publication of Detailed art-historical and technical research on National Gallery website Confirmation of Samson’s recognition and Delilah to Peter Paul Rubens.
This extensive study, held by our curatorial and scientifip teams using the most recent imitation and analytical methods, gives compelling evidence of the writing author. It offers transparency around our research process and contributes to a broader scholarship field in history.
Due to interest and debate this painting attracts many years, we hope this publication may be important to scholars and the public is equal.
