In the editor: Finally, good news between the river of destruction and dark coverage of what is happening in Los Angeles (“With a residency rate, this neighborhood changes LA,” June 17). The Comeback of Los Los Angeles is not surprising to me, an 87-year-old living in DTLA for 10 years. I have moved downtown to be within a distance of distance to the main arts, culture and places I love. I just don’t put my car, but I’ll live in a different neighborhood full of millennies and their dogs with expats at all ages.
That city persuasion is still alive and kicks off today because it attracts new residents despite difficult times. The city’s consistency is shown after the intense pandemic, I believe, a reason to nurture back. That vulnerability remains today while the downtown community works with public officials to help the solutions to the development of major challenges that inflict our neighborhood and across the city. May the good news continue.
