In your case study (Witnesses ‘experts are’ weak link to the justice system in English), David Sellu suggests that there is no “prescribed training programs” for expert witnesses to ensure that the evidence they give is poor, high quality and followed by all legal techniques.

In fact, Bond Solon, mentioned in your main article about this subject (Politicians, attorneys and doctors expressed concerns about the use of experts of the Witnesses in English courts, June 15,), there are more than 30 years insured with proper training available, so experts know how a complex investigation and management of court rules are establishing. Tens of thousands of experts have been trained since, and attended university-proven programs. Other manufacturers are followed.

There are hundreds of cases each year where experts are involved with no problems, and many experts have helped by providing evidence to break the wrong convictions. Suggesting expert witnesses are the weakest link to the system may not be fair. Solicitors should use the appropriate hard work to choose and instructions to experts to make sure they have the right expert for issues that know the full legal obligation.

Experts can be evaluated by their qualifications and experiences, and the judges can understand if their evidence is accepted. The whole process should run smoothly, so not only experts need to be under investigation.
