I‘An activist since I was a teenager. I marched against apartheid, was arrested for protection The right to rebellion of peaceful protests, there is a campaign for warm homeland friends in the homeland in northern Ugandan and more. I spent my life fighting for a fair, greener world.
And now, as a member of Parliament and Green Party The co-leadership candidate with Adrian Ramsay, I am more convinced that the power and hope of activation should be with our political change.
Because stakes are not higher.
We faced an acceleration of the crisis and environmental crisis, shocked inequality to everyone from home health, and a government complex with genocide. Political pleasure are at recording levels.
After many years of conservative turmoil, people hope to work hard to change. Instead, it doubles injury: cut support with the weakest, refusal to buy taxes, revising climate movement and Test protection for Natural World. They may not call it a helper, but that’s how it feels.
Nigel Farage is not surprised and reform in the UK exploits this opportunity, sowing division and channeled justified anger of an unchanged hatred. And it is more urgent than we often climb the trustworthy solutions.
This is the mean political war of our time: Hope V fears. Green Party can and should lead an optimistic fight, offering a real alternative and a household for voters who feel left by working and touries.
People trust vegetables – Poles showed today Higher Favorability Rating than any other party. Under Carla Mosder and Adrian leadership, we have the most successful election period, Turn our number of MPs and almost doubling our number of councilors. We have built the foundation. Now it’s time to build the change.
Adrian and I stood green party leaders with a simple goal: to win enough green MPs that can form government policy after the next general election. In our skewered election system, that means the construction of a wide coalition of voters – which reaches well beyond our traditional basis, not just to preach the chorus. And that’s exactly the Adrian and I know how to do.
We are campers in all our life. Adrian was associated with the vegetables of 16 and became one of the UK’s youngest councilors. She plays a key feature to make “party target to win” strategy changing our fate elections.
I joined in 2015, forced to increase in political plains in the plains. I couldn’t bear his political brand of poison that led to my country’s life. And in July last year, I was painted a conservative of about 25,000 to be MP for the north Herefordshire – one of the largest swings of elections In the history of the UK.
We clearly: It is possible that Westminster greens can play a vital role in a hung parliament and help shape the next government. The green parties around the world – in Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland and Finland – successfully grown their government vote.
We need to be laser-focus on our goal: To change the support that is in the community community in the center of political power. For that, we need the leadership of experience and credibility to win new voters, and then move the policy command.
As with MPs, Adrians and I have been talking to Parliament every day, hard injustice and carries the voice of the grassroots campaigns in the parliomentary system. We are rebels with integrity, campers on a platform of commons.
Our leadership campaign is part of the change in political change protest: empowering local teams, and growing a party ready for the power of Parliament and councils, communities around the country.
We believe that green party can and should change and win. Not by the Divisive “Populist” Rhetoric of Farage, but by connecting with the broadest possible range of people and showing that green policies embody their aspirations for a fairer country and a livable future.
And that’s where our records record. Adrian and I won many previous past-past elections by encouraging many teams of activists. We know what it takes to win, and then change, our broken political system.
Reverse, we know that our qualities are in accordance with the deepest repairs of kindness and unity of people in every community and demographic. So we know we can develop the green party faster.
So at every Green Party member considered this election, I said: We do not walk from the success we have built and the trust we have won.
As the reaction to other parties in the crises we face in a deeper thinking and empty rhetoric that leads our values, without having to tell the truth and willing to act on it. The divided populist political is a recipe for chaos and failure. By reaching the most shared green values in many more green votes, the green party can and should be medication.
