In the editor: Anita Chabria and Steve Lopez columnists speak the truth of the lies that the President used the foundation used by the President to confirm his invasion of Los Angeles (“Newsom’s’ democracy is under attack talk can escape Trump tables,” June 11; “Why is this overwhelmed invasion of LA look so good and feel personal,” June 9).
George Orwell wrote, “Didn’t you see that the whole purpose of Newspeak is to tie the order of mind?”
It is not surprising that the President, his administration and their Republican cohort decreases what they call “news conferences” is like entering the invasions and burning of Los Angeles and, throughout the fellowship, throughout the world. Like lies about the criminal nature of what an immigrant is. Like trying to eliminate the right to protest. Like the false-burned soldiers (of President Trump’s self-creating). Like a lie that asking a question is non-American. Like a lie that everyday activities (your daughter’s carrying school or go to work) is not about the fabric of America.
A reasonable vocabulary for native English speakers 20,000 to 35,000 words. Trump seems to be a tenth of the amount. Talking to his thoughts, ideas and plans are easy for him. Just back his lies as possible.
While Chabria points, our leaders, such as Gov. Gavin Newsom, sets the way; As Lopez wrote, our neighbors have provided an example. We have to follow. Your journalism helps Americans see through Trump’s test to prevent our thinking.
