Altadena is not just selling after fires. It preserves its soul

In the editor: This new Los Angeles Times Article has increased about the true story that occurred on the ground (“‘Unfortunately, Altadena is the sale’: Developers buy the lots,” June 5).

Yes, some homeowners are sold. However, many, many have chosen to remain – and actively organizes neighbors to rebuild Altadena with dignity, attitude and collective power. For example, hundreds of employers and more than 30 contractors participated in Altadena Colltive, founded architectural behaviors and the victims of building and the victims of building and fire victims. And that’s just one of the organizations dedicated to rebuild Aladena.

This is not a pie-in-the-the-meaning idealism – it is true, it happens, and it resumes the process of repairing the ways that are appropriate.

Add that more than 150 nonprofits Started since fires, weekly meetings dragging hundreds of residents and widespread movements to preserve the soul of Aladena, and you will find a community more sold. We need additional reporting that the depth and momentum recognizes what is constructed here.
