Chinese companies Huawei and Smic may have a difficult time access to resources needed to build AI chips, due to Taiwanese export controls.
Bloomberg reports the International Administration of Trade Trade put two companies and their subsidiaries in an updated list of entities designated strategic high-tech groups. That means Taiwanese businesses should be granted the government before they can send anything to any company.
