Fiona Hill’s Analysis of Britain threat is a classic instance of how a seemingly reasonable argument is based on an initial introduction can lead to a fierce conclusion (Russia in Britain’s War and US is no longer trustworthy alliance, the counselor says in the UK, 6 June). It is more alarming that this conclusion has been reached by one of the three principal authors of the recent review of strategic defense.
The wrong prize is that Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is the first step to make Russia “a dominant military power over all Europe”.
