Military commander says 200 Marines moved to Los Angeles to protect Federal Viesta, people

After a weekly tense protests at Federal Immigration Raids, about 200 Marines moved to Los Angeles and protect federal property and staff, a military commander said.

Maj Scott Sherman, Commander of Task Force 51 in charge of 4,700 troops deployed, said Friday finished civilian training.

Sherman said the Marines would suffer the operation of the Local Time in the Federal Building in Downtown Los Angeles.
“I want to emphasize that soldiers do not participate in law enforcement activities. However, they focus on protecting trade staff,” Sherman said.

Progress comes in a day after the 9th US circuit court to temporarily block the Federal judge command commanded by President Donald Trumpet In order to determine the control of the National Guard in California, soon after a federal judge who rules the deployment of the guard is illegal and exceeded the tenth authority of Trump.

Marines joined 2,000 troops in the National Guard in the city street since last week when immigration attacks plotted protests. Over the past three nights demonstrations are more peaceful with some few arrests in most of the people who fail to dispersse. The California Govin Newsom calls the troop deployment a “severe violation of state sovereignty” and a power that Trump took, and he went to court to prevent it.

The President quotes a legal provision that allows him to stir federal service members with “a rebellion or disaster of a rebellion against the United States government authority”.

Under the Act of Posse Posse, active forces of office are prohibited by law from conducting law enforcement.

Sherman said the National Guard soldiers in that location will shift to provide protection of law enforcement agents but not participate in law enforcement activities.

Sherman said the US Marine Corps was responsible for keeping the US embassies outside so that they were well trained how to protect a federal building.

Some National Guard troops protected immigration agents who made arrest but Sherman said “We didn’t have soldiers or Marine to control anyone”.

The National Guard Troops that protects federal property will shift to providing protection of many law enforcement officials, Sherman said.

States are facing questions in deployment of troops

With many demonstrations expected at the end of the week, and the possibility that Trump is able to send the troops to other states for immigration implementation, governors have what to do.

Texas Gov Abbott, a Republican, puts 5,000 National Guard Members in standby in towns where demonstrations are planned. In other Republican-controlled states, governors have not said when they can bring troops.

A group of democratic governors earlier signed a statement this week calling Trump’s deployments “an alarming abuse of power”.

Hundreds arrested by protests in LA

There are about 470 arrests since Saturday, most of the failure to leave the law enforcement request, according to the police department.

There are some many serious fees, including the attack by officers and owning a molotov cocktail and a gun. Nine officials were hurt, most of the minor injuries.
