In the editor: Reading this article may cause one to believe that gas items prohibits water and water heaters, and replace equipment with electrications wed af chanclichiances (“Regulators seek to bring about gas-powered goods in Southern California,” June 4). It is not true, because natural gas is used to generate California electricity – in 2023, it makes 43.68% of our strength, according to California Energy Commission.
I think this initiative to handle the quality of air handling phase out gas appliances should be posted by the time that California effect is made with fossifornia fuel. And because the cost to change from gas to electricity is important to costs new appliances, installing and upgrading household costs and the AQMMD is all the costs of household conversion. If this AQMD initiative is regarded by the state that may be important, then it is necessary to pay for it for implementation.

In the editor: There are two problems with adopting electric water heaters. One exchange supply, may not be an issue with new construction but a serious consideration of replacement gas for electricity. Another pays for electricity. Our tools make electricity very expensive, even with solar panels that move some costs, utensils that use important power only available. AQMD must focus on practical problems instead of targets on targets. Anyone foolish can be ordered by a percentage number and as to do something, but it is necessary to find practical solutions without their own problems.
