As a white person I nearly had a problem with work a day (White men are apparently afraid to do the wrong thing at work. I have some advice, 26 May). “I had to admit that I had an interest in women’s football,” I said a young woman raised the subject. Everyone looked at me on the second or two before I added: “But in my defense, I feel like men.” Everyone laughed and I didn’t fire.
