Feeling weighted about the future event? Think, for a moment, you have a magic anti-anxiety pill in front of you to pick up your nerves. Imagine its package, and listen to yourself to pop in pill from foil. Now, remember that it was brought to your mouth, who stopped it, and keeping the feeling of swallowing it.

These are the instructions that Jens Gaab and his partners at the University of Pasel in Switzerland gives participants to A New Study investigate the possibilities of placebo effect. Participants, university students studying for an examination, taught to repeat the procedure twice a day for three weeks.

It’s amazing, it works – those who take an imaginary pill that has experienced a little anxiety to try to control the participants simply asked to report their level of concern as the examination. “And their show is better,” Gaab said.
It is highly accepted that placebo pills can sometimes relieve symptoms, and results from Gaab and his team suggest that we can achieve the same effect on our minds.
