In the editor: On the Memorial Day – a solemn occasion to honor those who give their life defending our country – President Trump did not give a tax, but a tirade (“Trump honors the fallen troops in Arlington, called America’s ‘best and courage,'” May 26). His message, lying in the hostility of the Judges, immigrants and political opponents, not a sacrifice of sacrifice but a decision.
Instead of giving respect to the fallen, Trump uses the institutions and values where they die: the rule of law, democratic principles and the same justice. He targets american american “scum” and “monsters,” mocked the process of immigrants – most of those who serve and sacrifices to our armed forces.
It’s not leadership. This is the cowardly out of bluster. A person who previously escaped military service today insults those who serve, deceives the judiciary and admire autocrats. His words blaspheme the heroes of our country and the values they swear to protect.
The day of the Memorial is his, not in Trump’s depressions. We remember fell. We honor their sacrifice. And we reject the hatred trying to divide the country they die to preserve.

In the editor: Gee, I’m sure there’s no “suckers” and “lost” (like Trump used to be called fallen soldiers) in their midst.

In the editor: When Trump was charged against variation, equity and participation, he said any nonwhite, non-Christian and Nonstraight new officers do not belong to the armed forces. His attack on its own ideas of a different military corrupted the focus, Morale and the chain of command. Since President Truman rejected the military in 1948, the military became one of the most different country institutions – more different than the American population itself. That is a force, not a weakness. Suggesting another is to sow division and weaken our national defense.
At some point in his transformation about the wives of trophies and yachts, Trump promised a new “gold age” for the military. But his vision was a military cleaned by the difference, loyalty to him and not in the Constitution. This vision is wrong, and it is dangerous.
The White House recently took official transcriptions of Trump’s talks from its website, the history of rewriting a real time. Instead, it has Statement of Memorial Day Without all the disgraceful parts of his language. But we heard it. We’ve seen it. And if we care about the military, democracy and constitution, we must speak.
