Public Utility approved the Waymo request to the Waymo request to extend the Robotaxi service area, carrying vehicles that do not carry cars to south of San Francisco.
The company said in a post of X the approval its plans cannot be changed in the near term. Today, Waymo acts on a commercial robotaxi service to all San Francisco as well as parts of the peninsula. It also provides no running with customers with many valleys of the valley, including parts of the field of view, Palo Alto, Sayagvale. In all, the service area of the company is about 85 square miles covering San Francisco and Valicon Valley.
The company also aims to open Access to San Francisco International AirportAlthough those plans are in a higher timeline. Waymo is given consent in March to map SFO paths through a temporary permit. Waymo vehicles do not operate awardonomy at the airport; Employees manually drive vehicles to map the place. But the permit signs on the start of a phased way of Waymo finally operates commercially over there.
Waymo is given 250,000 paid trips each week to its whole operation, which extends Los Angeles,, Phoenixand more now Austin.
