Editor letters: Why local organizations in Palisades should be given the lead of fire

In the editor: I am a lifetime resident of Palisades lost two assets and most of my possessions in palisades of fire. I have so much involved in fire recovery efforts and attended many meetings. I have not heard a word from or about Hallyty exchange since their weak presentation at the April 10 Pacific Palisades Community Community Community Community described in your article (“As regaining the palisades, the residents asked: What is the plan?” May 18).

Many have established new community groups in the Palisades Pacific Palisades working on fire recovery, such as the City Councilmember Traci Park and his team. The city of Los Angeles and Halerty Consulting is not as close as being organized or competent as our local organizations. We don’t need generic jargon. We need the action. If the city cannot stop it, give your millions of local organizations in the palisades to directly support our recovery.
