A dangerous sex scandal in Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s Inner Circle explosed in public view, put him a top member of the cabinet easily not cool.
The scandal explodes when WU staff chief for office police office at the police office was charged with attacking a police officer. Some go there.
Assace attacks are related to a spat of lovers involving a city hall employee employed as a neighborhood relationship for the city’s economic office.
The chief of the staff, Mawra Khudaynazar, and the other staff, Chulan Huang, was worn free after being arrested for a household member attack. Khudaynazar was accused of tearing the arm of Huang while he was trying to hold him. Both pleads not guilty.
It has all the ingredients in a dawn agreement with a woke office of one of the most progressive mayors in the country.
The last thing that needs to explode details in the middle of a reelection campaign.
Wu called the arrested “team” staff and said he knew that both of them went through “some hard conditions.”
He also called the “allegations” disturbing – they are actually charges – and says the city is serious.
Khudaynazar and Huang were accused of each other to deceive when police responded to a 911 call. Huang accuses her to have a deal with her boss but police report does not determine who that is.
But the City Councilor Ed Flynn Flynn calls for the release of Segun Idownu, a top member of the Wu cabinet as the chief of economic opportunity and incorporation. Flynn says Idowu “failed to give positive and behavioral leadership.”
The opposite of the wu, Josh Kraft, as well as the police union, also calls for an internal investigation of this matter.
Flynn didn’t design the reasons he believed that the Cabinet officer had to be fired.
But if Idowu was involved, Wu had to drop him.
He has become a significant problem of credibility. Especially if Wu has major transparency issues.
Idowu, named a Bostonian of the Year of the Boston Globe and a large proponent of police body cameras, must arrive ahead with a complete explanation of what happened and if he had development.
Wu’s usual tactic is to ignore it and hope it’s gone.
But is this a problem to solve his usual head visit in the sand? At what point does his Teflon wear thin?
Last week it was the school bus accident. This week it is responsible for police and office participation.
Wu ends to wear scandal when it comes out of hand.
And if it is wasted, it may end up with a national issue, further undercutting wu.
