A member of a religious order says the election of Pope Leo XIV can bring Americans back to church.

Papa Leo XIV “an American, first left, Historical. After all, from Chicago to most people in the midwest (and) in the middle of the country,” Connor said. “What matters about it for the American Catholics is that … we have a pope that really understands us. And it will expect to be massaged in the Church.
The percentage of adults regularly attended religious services falls, with 3 of 10 Americans saying that they served in religion each week, according to 2024 gallup poll. Only 9% reported nearly every week. About 11% reported to attend once a month, but 56% rarely goes, according to the poll. More than 30% not to attend, data is displayed.
Equal, an average of 42% of US adults attended Religious Services per week or nearly every week two decades have passed. Ten years ago, that number fell to 38%.
